It is vital that all social care services deliver high quality care and as a result, good outcomes for children, young people and vulnerable adults. OFS has set up a number of co-ordinated programmes known as the Quality Assurance and Improvement Programme to assist Local Authorities, Independent Fostering Agencies, Children’s Homes, Vulnerable Adult Homes and Home Care Agencies to prepare for the new framework of OFSTED and Care Quality Commission Inspections. We also assist providers and Local authorities that have been put on special measures and improvement plans.
The mock inspection is a comprehensive full inspection programme that evaluate the overall effectiveness of the service, management, leadership, case records, supervision and compliance issues in accordance with regulations and good practice guidance. Our Inspections feedback and reports identify areas the organisation is excelling in but also robust in highlighting failings and areas where improvements can be made.Read More...

All university students undertaking qualifying social work courses must undertake at least, 200 days of ‘practice education’. To do this, students are placed with an employer, either in the statutory or the independent (private and voluntary) sector to gain hands-on, social work experience in a variety of settings. Though courses differ in their structure, students usually undertake two or three placements during their course to make-up the 200 days. OFS is committed to the provision of high quality practice education for students undertaking qualifying Social Work Courses.
Working closely with universities and other agencies, we aim to be at the forefront of social work education and consider practice learning to be central to the development of a skilled and professional social workforce delivering first class services. If you are interested and you would like more information about our student placement and its conditions then please contact the team; firstname.lastname@example.org
We recognise that assessment costs may need to be based on the family size and the complexity of the case. These factors often determine who needs to be involved in the assessment and costing will be agreed with the referring agent at the beginning or review of assessment and any additional costs would be agreed at the six-week review stage.
